Blink-182 has cancelled an upcoming run of nine concerts – including one in Canada – due to drummer Travis Barker’s health woes.
“Medical issues have sidelined Travis per doctors’ orders,” read a statement on the band’s Twitter. “Trav’s medical team anticipated that he would be well enough by fall to tour but after recent checkups they were not able to clear him in time.”
The cancelled dates include Sept. 18 at The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Ontario.
In June, Blink-182 postponed shows in their Las Vegas residency citing blood clots in both of Barker’s arms.
“The past few months have just sucked as I have been sidelined just waiting for my doctors to clear me so I could get back on the road and perform with my band,” Barker was quoted as saying in the Twitter statement.
“Unfortunately, the risks associated with drumming are still too great. I am doing everything I need to do so I can get back on the road as soon as possible.”
Blink-182 has shows in Vegas scheduled to start on Oct. 26.
