Fifth Harmony is down to four.
It was announced Sunday that Camila Cabello is leaving the chart-topping girl group.
“After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representative that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony,” read a statement on the group’s social media Sunday.
“We wish her well.”
Late Monday, Cabello responded with a message of her own.
"I was shocked to read the statement the fifth harmony account posted without my knowing," it read. "The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour. Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that i was 'leaving the group' is simply not true."
Cabello insisted she "did not intend to end things with fifth harmony this way."
According to People, Cabello was a no-show at multiple meetings of the group members to discuss the future. But, the same report quoted a Cabello source as having said that she did, in fact, have "multiple meetings with the group."
The remaining members — Ally Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Dinah Hansen and Lauren Jauregui — said they “will be moving forward” without Cabello.
“We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors,” read the message to fans.
“We are excited for our future, and we can’t wait for what the new year brings.”
Their last show as the original Fifth Harmony was at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in Miami on Sunday.

Cabello, 19, has been doing her own thing for awhile. She recorded "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Canada's Shawn Mendes last year and recently unveiled a new single with Machine Gun Kelly entitled “Bad Things.”
Fifth Harmony was created when Simon Cowell put together five competitors on season 2 of the U.S. edition of The X Factor. The group finished third but was signed to Cowell’s label.
Since then, they have pumped out hits like "Worth It" and "Work From Home."
