Canadian singer Alanis Morissette is selling her home in L.A.’s upscale Brentwood neighbourhood for nearly $5.5 million U.S.
The Ottawa-born artist and her husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway live there with their son and daughter. Morissette bought the house in 1996 for $1.8 million U.S.
The property offers a view of the canyon at the back and features a two-level 1950s 5,152-square-foot house that has been “painstakingly remodelled,” according to the listing. Among the highlights are a double-height living room with exposed wood ceiling and a master suite with stone fireplace, balcony, and walk-in closet.
There are five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.
Outside, there’s also a terrace, swimming pool, spa and fire pit. A jagged little hill leads down to a children's play area.
It’s not known where Morissette and her family are planning to move.
