Dave Grohl made a surprise appearance at a special event near Toronto this past weekend.
The Foo Fighters frontman was behind the wheel of a black SUV that arrived at Cosmo MusicFest in Richmond Hill, Ont. with Geddy Lee of Rush in the passenger seat.
So...Dave Grohl is Geddy Lee’s personal driver now? Imagine pulling up to a red light and seeing this? @rushtheband @foofighters @rockhall pic.twitter.com/HiXDyTZi92

Lee was there to sign copies of his Big Beautiful Book of Bass but it's not known why his friend Grohl was in Toronto.
Drummer Kyle Poulin of The Rivers managed to get Grohl to stop long enough to sign his name under a tattoo of his face on Poulin’s arm.
“He came out a second time and I asked him if he’d sign under his portrait and he said ‘Absolutely man,’” Poulin shared on Instagram. “He looked really stoked to hear that I’m a drummer!”
Grohl also signed the back of a ukulele for Andrew Pitre. “Thank you Dave Grohl for being one of the coolest mother f**kin people on this planet,” he wrote on Instagram, “and takin 2 seconds to make a moment this guy will never forget!”
This year’s Cosmo MusicFest featured performances by acts like Sloan and Finger Eleven.
