Doja Cat Claims She Tested Positive For COVID-19
Doja Cat said Friday she tested positive for COVID-19.
“I got COVID,” she told the UK’s Capital XTRA. “Honestly, I don’t know how this happens but I guess I ordered something off of [food delivery app] Postmates, and I don’t know how I got it but I got it.”
According to a Health Canada website, “there are currently no confirmed cases of COVID-19 being spread through food” but it is possible to contract COVID-19 from an infected delivery person. It recommends using contactless delivery or keeping at least two metres away from the delivery person.
The 24-year-old rapper, whose real name is Amala Dlamini, said she had a “four-day symptom freak-out” but has fully recovered.
During an Instagram Live in March, Doja Cat said she had no fear of catching the virus. “B**ch, I’m not scared of a coronavirus … I don’t give a f**k about corona, b**ch,” she said at the time. “It’s a flu! I’m not scared … You just take some Mucinex and drink water and tea and sleep – that’s all you gotta do.”
