Drake, The Weeknd, Céline Dion Among Year's Highest Paid Musicians
Canadians are among the top earners of 2018 musicians, according to Billboard’s annual Money Makers report.
The list of the 50 highest-paid music artists of the year includes The Weeknd at No. 12 with $23.3 million (all figures USD), Céline Dion at No. 26 with $16.2 million, and Drake at No. 37 with $12.1 million.
The Weeknd is up from the No. 42 spot on the list last year and is the No. 2 earner among R&B/Hip-Hop acts. Dion, who earns most of her revenue from her Las Vegas residency, rose 11 spots from last year. And, Drake dropped from the No. 4 position.
The highest earner on this year's list is U2 with $54.4 million.
