Guns 'N' Roses Sues To Stop Brews
Guns ’N’ Roses is going after a Colorado brewery that has been selling a Guns ’N’ Rosé ale.
The band filed a lawsuit late last week against Oskar Blues, part of the Canarchy Craft Brewery Collective, in a federal court in Los Angeles, alleging trademark infringement.
Guns ’N’ Roses claims the brewery has been selling the rosé ale since 2018 and leading consumers to believe it is connected with the band. Axl Rose and his fellow musicians also want Oskar Blues to stop selling a line of related merchandise – including bandannas – bearing the name.
Oskar Blues withdrew its application to trademark “Guns ’N’ Rosé” after a complaint from the band but said it would continue to sell the beer until next March.
