Kenny Rogers Recovering In Hospital

Country legend Kenny Rogers was admitted to a Georgia hospital reportedly suffering from from dehydration.

A statement shared via his official Twitter account reads: “Kenny was recently admitted to a local Georgia hospital and treated for dehydration. He will remain there to complete some physical therapy to get his strength back prior to discharge.

“He appreciates the concern and well wishes he has received from his fans and can assure everyone he plans on sticking around through the years to come.”

The statement referred to “recent wild misinformation and speculation” about the 80-year-old singer. Earlier this week, the National Enquirer reported that Rogers is “staring death in the eye” and cited unnamed sources as saying he is “bravely preparing for the end just a year after bladder cancer forced him to retire.”

The report claimed Rogers is “selling off his assets, saying his final farewells and planning his own funeral.”

Rogers is best known for hits like “The Gambler,” “Lucille,” “Lady” and his duet with Dolly Parton, “Islands in the Stream.”
