Ozzy Osbourne Rocks American Music Awards
Ozzy Osbourne made a fiery comeback on Sunday with a performance of “Take What You Want” on the American Music Awards (AMAs).
The 70-year-old rock icon remained seated for most of song, in which he provides the chorus. At one point he waved his arms in the air as Post Malone and Travis Scott belted out the track.
It was the first time the trio was together to perform the song, which is from Malone’s latest album Hollywood’s Bleeding. They were joined on stage by Watt.
For Osbourne, it was a return to the spotlight after months of battling health issues that forced the cancellation of tour dates. Wife Sharon Osbourne and daughter Kelly Osbourne watched from the audience.
Before joining Osbourne and Scott for “Take What You Want,” Malone performed his hit “Circles.” He was introduced by Rivers Cuomo of Weezer and Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy.
Earlier on the AMAs, Green Day rocked both their new track “Father of All…” and their 1994 classic “Basket Case.”
Imagine Dragons and Panic! at the Disco lost Favourite Alternative Rock Artist to Billie Eilish. Panic! also lost Favourite Pop/Rock Duo or Group (to K-pop act BTS) and Favourite Pop/Rock Song (to Halsey’s “Without Me”).
Bohemian Rhapsody was voted Favourite Soundtrack.
