Ronnie Wood Supports Recovering Addicts In Self-Isolation

Rolling Stones musician Ronnie Wood is sharing advice and support for other recovering addicts who can’t get to meetings due to restrictions on gatherings during the COVID-19 crisis.

"I'm Ronnie and I'm an addict," the 72-year-old, who has been sober since 2010, said in the first video message he shared on Twitter.

"To help me get through every day, from time to time, I'l share with you, if I may, little readings that I have from my books."

Wood read a passage about hope from Keep It Simple: Daily Meditations for Twelve-Step Beginnings and Renewal. “I hope this helps you get through another day,” he said.

Last week, the Stones postponed their 15-city North American tour, which was scheduled to stop in Vancouver on May 12, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
