Shawn Mendes was picked as the winner in three categories at the Teen Choice Awards, which were handed out on Sunday.
The newly 21-year-old Canadian singer was named Choice Male Artist and Summer Male Artist and his collaboration with Camila Cabello, “Señorita,” was named Choice Summer Song.
Mendes did not attend the show because he was performing in New Jersey as part of his tour.
Drake lost all three categories in which he was nominated – R&B/Hip-Hop Artist, R&B/Hip-Hop Song (for “Going Bad” by Meek Mill) and Latin Song (for Bad Bunny “MIA”).
Winners included Billie Eilish – won Choice Female Artist and Breakout Artist – as well as Cardi B, BTS, Panic! At The Disco, Why Don’t We, Ariana Grande, Louis Tomlinson, and Lauren Jauregui.
Lil Nas X was nominated in five categories but won only one: Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Song.
The Jonas Brothers, who were on hand to accept the Decade Award (they also won Choice Summer Group), spoke about being bullied when they were younger. Kevin said he was was teased for having frosted tips but ended up getting his first acting job because of them.
“The same haircut that got me called piss head was what started my actual career,” he said, “and it's also the reason I'm standing on this stage.”
Nick recalled being picked on by his teachers. "I had enough self doubt as it was. I didn't need to be told how little I really was. But if I had stopped what I was doing at that moment, then I wouldn't be here today, receiving this award.
“Those things that you feel like you're singled out about, that you're bullied about that define you in your teen years, can become the thing that make you special, that's your gift, that's your power.”

Icon Award recipient Taylor Swift also had words of inspiration for her young fans.
“One thing I wish I would've known as a teen is that mistakes are inevitable,” the pop star said. “Sometimes you think if you try hard enough to make every decision perfectly, you think you can possibly, like, ace life, and never make any mistakes. But it's normal to make mistakes, and I just want you to know that if you're out there, and you're being really hard on yourself right now for something that's happened, or messing up, or feeling embarrassed, it's normal. That's what's going to happen to you in life.
"No one gets through unscathed. We’re all gonna have a few scratches on us. We're living in an insane time, please be kind to yourselves and stand up for yourself, please.”
