The members of UK band Her’s, who played Toronto’s Drake Hotel Underground on March 5, were killed in a fiery vehicle crash Wednesday.
Stephen Fitzpatrick, 24, and Audun Laading, 25, and their tour manager Trevor Engelbrektson, died in an accident while on their way to a show in Santa Ana, California after performing Tuesday night in Phoenix.
The indie duo released their debut album, Invitation To Her’s, last year.
"Absolutely devastated to hear about the passing of our friends Her’s," tweeted fellow UK band The Magic Gang. "Stevie and Audun were two of the nicest, warmest people we’d ever met. Our thoughts are with their family and close friends at this time."
According to local reports, a pick-up truck traveling in the wrong direction on Interstate 10 at around 1:00 a.m. slammed into Her's van. The driver of the pick-up was also killed.
"We don't know the exact speeds, but two heavy vehicles, coming into contact with each other at full speed, the impact is huge and devastating," trooper Kameron Lee told the local CBS News affiliate. The victims were badly burned.
