WATCH: Taylor Swift Talks About Making 'Cats'


Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson and Jason Derulo can be seen in a new behind-the-scenes look at the making of the big screen adaptation of Cats.

The video was posted Wednesday, two days ahead of the highly-anticipated first trailer for the movie.

Cats, which premiered as a stage musical in 1981, was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber based on the poems of T.S. Eliot.

“We got to update it in ways that I think are so, so great,” says Swift, who started rehearsals for the the movie after completing her Reputation tour.

"People coming together through all different corners of entertainment … everybody’s working really long hours, rehearsing every day, and it's fun.”

Swift plays Bombalurina, Hudson is Grizabella and Derulo is Rum Tum Tugger in the movie, which was directed by Tom Hopper and also stars Idris Elba, Rebel Wilson, James Corden and Judi Dench.

Cats leaps into theatres on Dec. 20.
