Mt Tremblant is fantastic!

Top of the ski hill

The NEWSTALK Ski Team once again had a fantastic trip to Mt Tremblant.  It was very unique and the only ski resort open in Quebec and Ontario.

We skied top to bottom on reduced runs but conditions were surprisingly good with solid coverage on the open hills.  Their longest run was 3k and for our first time of the year it was certainly welcome and a lot of fun.

The chairlift

The ski lifts were safe..the chalets were safe with protective barriers and directional walking paths..I was really impressed with their Covid protocol and rules especially on the gondola and all chair lifts.

If you wanted to ride by yourself there were no problems and with your family it was welcome.

We were equally impressed with Covid protocol in Village shops and restaurants.  The Village is always a lot of fun and didn't disappoint this time around with everything from gourmet restaurants and unique ski shops you can't find anywhere else.

We spent a lot of time at La Dable right at the bottom with great pub food, craft beer and the friendliest staff you'll ever meet.  Everyone was wearing masks and made us feel very safe and comfortable.

Main chalet

The real treat of our trip was accommodation.   We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the class of Tremblant...Fairmont Tremblant...the only ski in and ski out resort on the property and it's well worth the stay.

I highly recommend this for any ski resort you visit,  especially families.

As soon as you pull up to the Fairmont you know you've arrived at something special with friendly doormen to help with luggage and ski equipment.  They'll take care of every request right on the spot, then head into the newly renovated lobby with a roaring fireplace and friendly reception.  The Fairmont has recently undergone a multi million dollar renovation.  It's warm and welcoming with the  fireplace warming both the reception area and apres bar on the other side.

What also really impressed me..the concierge will keep in constant contact with you for any needs or requests.  It's their personal service that makes a difference.

Their food and service is also class of Tremblant right from the renovated apres bar to a more formal/casual dining room with extensive wine list and ski country specialty drinks.

I highly recommend the Fairmont for everyone, especially families, so there's no loading and unloading heavy ski equipment from the car everyday.

Heated outdoor pool

I was really impressed with the ease of skiing.  You simply get your skis from the downstairs valet ski service,  then right out the back door and ski down to the lifts. It's a great way to start your day then when done, ski right back to the hotel.  After skiing you can enjoy the best aqua center on the property with indoor and outdoor heated pools.  There's a large heated whirlpool as well with bar service and courteous lifeguards.  A huge hot tub as well. There's a sauna to warm chilled bones and a special spa service for extra pampering.

Whirlpool

I've stayed at a good number of 5 star hotels around the world and the Fairmont Tremblant stands with them all and you'll never be disappointed.

We will return to the Fairmont Mt Tremblant in the new year.

As for skiing in Ontario, we're hoping this weekend, long as temperatures are cold enough.  We need frost to hold the snow and below freezing temperatures to make more.  I'm hoping you can join us this weekend at Mt St Louis/Moonstone and Horseshoe Valley to watch for the NEWSTALK Pizzaville Audi Etron and win $25 gift cards.

FYI is brought to you by our good friends at Pizzaville..They've opened their Christmas spirits with this special...4 medium pizzas...10 combined toppings for just $36.36.  It's easy to order on Pizzaville app or Pizzaville.ca.

Have a great week and see you on the slopes this weekend!
