The City of Toronto has given the green light for street food vendors to operate this summer.

Toronto Mayor John Tory announced that ice cream trucks, food trucks and street vendors would be allowed to operate as of Wednesday.

Tory did emphasize that these businesses and their customers would have to stick to the public health guidelines, including social distancing.

As for restaurants, Tory says the City is in discussions with public health about a possible reopening timeline.
