New cases of COVID-19 dips back below 400
Health Officials have reported 390 new cases of COVID-19 in the province, which is a decrease from the 427 new cases yesterday.
However, the new case total is still above the seven-day average of 354 and the 14-day average of 362.
More than 7,300 tests were completed, which is an increase compared to yesterday, but still below the capacity in the province, which is around 20,000 per day.
When you take a closer look at the numbers, the number of new cases in long-term care rose by 283. That means the number of new cases in the community, was at 107.
43 new deaths were reported, bringing the total to 1,962.
The number of people in hospital was up slightly, while the number of people in ICU and on ventilators both dropped slightly.
