Ontario sees another climb in new cases of COVID-19

Health officials are reporting 170 new cases of COVID-19, which marks an increase compared to yesterday.

The seven-day average of new cases is also going up with an average of 161 new cases over the past week. That's up from 159 yesterday.

It's the third highest increase in the past month.

55 of the new cases came in Toronto, with 28 in York Region and 22 in Peel Region. Ottawa recorded 12 new cases.

14 of the 34 public health units in the province are reporting no new cases at all.

The number of active cases continues to climb though, with only 142 cases listed as resolved.
