Peel Police want to speak with the driver who fled the scene, after the car he was driving burst into flames, as he attempted to perform a stunt in an industrial area parking lot in Mississauga this evening.

"Someone lit their car on fire while doing donuts," Constable Akhil Mooken tells NEWSTALK1010.

A witness called police.

"The fire is out and the occupant of the vehicle fled and we're looking for them. We have questions - lots of them."

Constable Mooken says the driver initially tried to drive off, inside the burning vehicle, but didn't get too far.

Officers arrived on scene with Mississauga Fire, who quickly extinguished the flames.

The occupant or occupants had fled the scene by the time emergency crews arrived.

No injuries were reported.

Police are asking anyone with dashcam video or surveillance footage from the area of Central Parkway and Wolfedale Road in Mississauga to contact them.

Better yet, police say, they'd like the driver to come forward and explain to them, exactly what he was thinking!
