Toronto police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a sex assault case.

Around 7 o'clock this morning a woman was jogging along the Gatineau Hydro Corridor trail in Scarborough. That's in the Warden Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue area.

Police say she was grabbed from behind and assaulted by an unknown male.

The victim was able to fight off her attacker, who fled the scene on foot.  He was last seen running into Wexford Park.

The suspect was wearing grey track pants and a black hooded sweatshirt.

Investigators are asking anyone in the area with dash cameras or home video surveillance to contact police.
