Police say hate crime investigation underway after assault downtown
Toronto police say they are investigating what they believe to be a hate crime after one person was assaulted by a group of people in the city’s downtown core on Friday morning.
Investigators say it happened at around 1:13 a.m. Friday near King and John streets.
Police have not released any details of the assault but say the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers have not released any suspect information at this time.
