Police say social media a factor in an alleged sexual assault in Toronto
There is more to the story of a man charged with drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at a club in downtown Toronto.
Police have traced this back to the use of social media.
They alleged the man followed the woman on social media, but according to police, that's where it started.
"He ended up being at an establishment where he knew she would be, and that's where the incident took place." says Constable Jen Sidhu with Toronto Police.
They were both in a club in the Polson and Cherry St area, where the man is accused of slipping a drug into her drink. He's then accused of taking her back to a hotel room, where she was allegedly sexually assaulted.
Zhuxi Shen, 21, from Toronto, who also goes by the name Mark, is now facing one count of sexual assault and one of administering a drug.
Police fear there may be more possible victims out there.
