Two teenaged boys have been arrested and charged in an alleged armed robbery at York University last month.

But they didn't take into account all the possibilities, when they tried to steal the car.

It was back on November 28th, when a 22-year-old was parking his car in a lot at the University near Chimneystack Road.

The teens allegedly jumped him, putting him in a headlock and then police say they pressed a handgun into his stomach.

The man turned over his phone, cash and car keys, before they attempted to steal his car.

The only problem is that they didn't know how to drive stick.

Instead, they allegedly stole more stuff from inside the car, and then took off.

Officers tracked down the 15 and 17-year-olds in the Jane and Finch neighbourhood, and they face nearly 30 charges.

They've also recovered a semi-automatic handgun.
