Toronto Police search for suspect following bank robbery in Scarborough
Toronto Police remain at the scene of a bank robbery in the area of Lawrence Avenue East and Markham Rd.
It happened just after noon today.
Police say the suspect indicated that he had a firearm, but it was not seen.
Police have not named the bank. It's unclear if the suspect got away with a significant amount of cash.
Officers remain in the area as the search for the suspect and any potential witnesses continues.
The suspect is described as a white male, around 40 years-old.
Police say he was wearing a long black and yellow jacket, with a hood and glasses.
Anyone with information on the suspect or surveillance video from the area is asked to contact police.
