Toronto to get a taste of winter

Snow-clearing and road salting vehicles at the City of Toronto's Eastern Ave. Works yard.

You might not be ready to hear this but it's a sure sign that winter is coming.

City of Toronto trucks were out last night putting brine on the roads.

A rain/snow mix is expected to move in early this evening and change to snow overnight. It shouldn't be more than a dusting. The forecast low is zero.

We're not the first city to get a taste of winter this season.

Barrie and Kitchener have seen a couple of centimetres of snow already.
