A staff member at an elementary school in Brampton has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Peel District School Board tells NEWSTALK 1010, a letter went out to staff at Ross Drive Public School, informing them that this person was in the building last week.

The board says they wore a mask, maintained social distancing, and were not in the school during the time where they would have been contagious.

The school has had regular and enhanced cleaning since the staff member was there. It remains open.
