Woman rushed to hospital after she was stabbed in North York

A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries, after she was stabbed in the Bathurst and Finch area.

It happened just after 8:30 p.m. Thursday night.

Police say a male suspect was seen running from the area. 

Police describe the suspect as a male, brown, about six feet tall, with a slim build.  He had facial hair.

He was wearing a grey hoodie and black pants or jeans.

It's unclear at this time if the victim knew her attacker.

Expect a heavy police presence in the Bathurst and Finch area, as police continue their investigation.
