Teenager sexually assaulted while on a walk in Brampton
A 16-year-old girl was injured after being sexually assaulted while on a walk in Brampton Tuesday morning.
Peel Regional Police say they're looking for witnesses to the late-morning attack.
The teenager was walking on a path, around a pond, in the area of Moldovan Drive and Father Tobin Road in Brampton around 11 a.m. That's when a suspect grabbed her — pulling her off the trail and sexually assaulting her.
The suspect fled west toward the greenbelt, and hasn't been caught.
The girl received minor injuries.
Police say the suspect is described as a black man, with a medium complexion, about 6'2" and slim. He was wearing a black mask — similar to a balaclava — a black zip-up sweater, black jogging pants, black shoes and black gloves.
Any witnesses are being urged to call the Peel Regional Police's Special Victims Unit or Crime Stoppers.
