Lakers Nip Clippers in NBA's Return
LeBron James put back his own miss for the go-ahead basket in the final seconds as the Lakers nipped the Clippers 103-101 at the NBA bubble in Orlando.
The Lakers erased a double-digit second half lead to pull away. Anthony Davis led the Purple and Gold with 34 points.
James scored 16 points and added 11 boards.
Paul George racked up 30 points for the Clippers and Kawhi Leonard poured in 28.
George missed a potential game-winning three at the buzzer.
In the other game Thursday, Rudy Gobert nailed the winning free throws in the final seconds as the Jazz rallied past the Pelicans 106-104 at the NBA bubble in Orlando.
Gobert, who was the first NBA player to test positive for COVID-19, finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds in the first game of the league's restarted season.
Both teams kneeled during the National Anthem.
