The University of Windsor's Women's Fastpitch team announced eight new recruits.

Four local prospects are included in 2020-2021's crop of new players.

She's joined by outfielder Emily Odette, who was the top offensive player for the Falcons' championship run.

Claire Fields, who is slotted to play both infield and outfield, joins the Lancers from the LaSalle Athletics organization and catcher Makayla Meadows-Goodrich rounds out the local recruits.

They'll be joined by Megan Pepper from Chatham-Kent, Daytona Dobson of Newmarket, Ont., Rylie Straus from St. Clements, Ont. and Amber Russell from Whitby, Ont. for the 2020-2021 seasons.
