COVID-19

One new COVID-19 case was reported in Nova Scotia on Friday.

Government says the new case is in the Central Zone and is under investigation.

There are nine active cases of COVID-19 in the province, with one person receiving treatment for the virus in ICU in a Nova Scotia hospital.

Friday's report of "breakthrough" COVID-19 cases indicates 28 people with both doses of COVID-19 vaccine tested positive from March 15th to July 27th this year and 235 people tested positive after receiving one dose.

In the same period, 254 people were hospitalized with COVID-19, including two who had received both doses and 28 who were partially vaccinated.

Public Health says one person who was fully vaccinated and three people who were partially vaccinated died as a result of COVID-19.
