Darius Rucker, Reba McEntire To Co-Host 2020 CMA Awards
Darius Rucker and Reba McEntire will host the 54th annual CMA Awards live from Nashville on Nov. 11.
“To be invited to host this year’s awards alongside Reba – are you kidding me?! – it is an absolute honour,” Rucker said, in a release. “Even though this year will look a little different than normal, I know that we're all eager for a night of musical celebration, and this year’s show definitely won't disappoint!”
Rucker is the first Black co-host of the show since Charley Pride did it in 1975 with Glen Campbell.
McEntire, who has hosted or co-hosted the CMA Awards four previous times – including last year with Carrie Underwood and Dolly Parton – added: "I’m thrilled to be back hosting the CMA Awards and even more thrilled that I get to share the stage with Darius Rucker. We’re looking forward to a night of celebrating great country music.”
