The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society are encourging people to give the gift of a forever home to an animal in need this holiday season.

The iAdopt for the Holidays campaign is now underway. Sponsored by Petplan, iAdopt for the holidays is a holiday re-homing initiative that runs until December 31st at participating OSPCAs, humane societies and animal rescue groups across Canada. Last year close to 3,330 animals from across the country found loving homes during the campaign.

With so many people enjoying time off and being home together as a family - the holiday season is the perfect time to welcome an animal into your life, and help them settle into their new home.

"Every animal deserves to have a special person or family to love and care for them," says Daryl Vaillancourt, Chief of Humane Programs and Community Outreach at the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society. "iAdopt for the Holidays is all about making lifetime matches."

Animals adopted through the Ontario SPCA are spayed or neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. Plus there are great prizes to be won! During iAdopt for the Holidays, adopters will be automatically entered for a chance to win the grand prize.
