We have fired up the Jim Wilson Stormwatch for December 1, 2020
BUS CANCELLATIONS:
All school buses in Simcoe County and Muskoka are cancelled today. Public schools are open, all Catholic and french language schools are closed and all students not in class, expected to learn at home.
Wellington-Dufferin Student Transportation has cancelled buses into Dufferin County (Division 4 Green), North Wellington (Division 3 Pink), Centre Wellington, Erin and Rockwood (Division 2 Blue) - public rural schools that rely on busing are closed.
COMMUNITY CLOSURES AND CANCELLATIONS:
Gateway Centre for Learning in Midland - closed due to inclement weather
ROAD CONDITIONS/CLOSURES:
No closures - but roads are snow covered with icy sections, and some track bare sections. Plows and sanders are out.
WEATHER WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
Snowfall Warning in effect for Barrie-Southern Dufferin-GreyBruce: Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Special Weather Statement in effect for Midland-Orillia-Parry Sound Muskoka: Multi-day snowfall event continues today into Wednesday. Additional snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are possible today through Wednesday morning. Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions.
