Meghan Patrick, City And Colour Added To List Of Juno Performers
Country singer Meghan Patrick and rocker City and Colour have been added to the line-up of performers at this year’s Juno Awards.
Québecois pianist Alexandra Stréliski, R&B and rap artist Ali Gatie, Indigenous artist iskwē and bluegrass group The Dead South will also take the stage inside SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon on March 15.
They join previously announced performers Daniel Caesar, Lennon Stella, The Glorious Sons and Tory Lanez – as well as Alessia Cara, who will host the show.
It was also announced Wednesday that Canadian music icon Anne Murray will be on hand to induct Jann Arden into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
Whether or not the additional performers will boost ticket sales to the Juno Awards remains to be seen. Last week, at least 40 percent of seats remained empty after nearly three months of sales. (The public relations company representing the Juno Awards did not respond to emailed questions.)
