City of Bathurst warns of bridge closure as crews repair water line
If you're daily commute includes a trip across the East Bathurst Bridge, you'll need to find another route.
The City of Bathurst says a portion of Bridge Street, including the bridge, will be closed to traffic on Tuesday and Wednesday so crews can repair a break to a main water line.
Residents needing to travel to and from East Bathurst will need to do so via Highway 11.
Meanwhile, the city warns that residents of East Bathurst may be affected by cloudy water once the repairs are completed.
The City says residents should refrain from washing laundry and to periodically check water quality by running cold water for 10 to 15 minutes to verify water clarity.
