Diesel up 15.6 c/L in New Brunswick Friday

The price of diesel jumped significantly, and gas was up slightly, after the Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) made its weekly fuel price reset overnight.

A litre of diesel is up 15.6 cents at a new maximum of $2.315.

Regular self-serve gasoline is up 4.9 cents per litre at a new top mark of $1.691 per litre.

Furnace oil is also significantly more expensive at a maximum price of $2.108 per litre, after climbing 14.6 cents per litre overnight.

A litre of propane sits at a top mark of $1.144, up 2.5 cents from the mark set last week.

Many retailers set their prices a few cents below the maximum allowable price.
