NBFL to hold convention in Saint John next week
The New Brunswick Federation of Labour (NBFL) says its 55th convention will be held in Saint John next week.
A release states the convention, themed "Workers Unite - Unions Now!", will run from Sunday May 28th to Wednesday May 31st.
Officials say resolutions will be debated and voted on to guide the work of the federation over the next two years, and delegates will elect officers for the NBFL Executive positions on Wednesday for a two-year term.
NBFL says the convention is usually held every two-years, but has not been held since May 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The New Brunswick Federation of Labour has over 40,000 members that represent over 317 local unions from both the public and private sectors.
