New Brunswick extends Small Business Recovery Grant Program
The Small Business Recovery Grant Program is being extended until the end of February and expanded to include retail businesses.
A release states businesses eligible for a one-time payment of up to $10,000 include restaurants without drive-thru options, caterers, drinking establishments, all retail businesses, gyms, fitness facilities, salons, spas and entertainment centres that employ between two and 99 full-time equivalent employees.
Government says applicants must submit their number of employees, evidence of at least a 20 per cent decrease in revenue compared to the same month in 2019 or 2020 (or at least 10 percent compared to the previous year if the business started after December 1st, 2020), and evidence they were subjected to elevated Public Health measures for at least one week from December 13th, 2021 until February 28th, 2022.
Applications can be made through the Opportunities NB website between January 24th and February 28th.
