Ottawa invests $86,000 in tourism in Plaster Rock
The federal government is investing $86,913 to support tourism in Plaster Rock.
Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) says the Village of Plaster Rock will use the funding from the Tourism Relief Fund to add a healing garden and introduce paddle board, pedal boat and kayak offerings to the existing offerings at Roulston Lake.
This will allow the village to expand the range of recreational activities available at the lake, while meeting increased demand for unique tourism experiences.
ACOA says the Government of New Brunswick is also contributing $76,000 to the project through the Regional Development Corporation.
