The RCMP is asking the public for help identifying an individual allegedly involved in a robbery in Tracadie.

Police say the man entered the Depanneur Rapido on Rue Principale on Sunday allegedly demanding money.

Mounties say he fled into a wooded area with an undisclosed amount of cash before officers arrived.

Nobody was injured.

Police are releasing surveillance video photos of the suspect in an effort to identify him.

He's described as approximately five-feet-ten-inches tall with a medium build.

He was wearing blue coveralls, black work boots, orange gloves, had a balaclava over his face, and spoke with an Acadian-French accent.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
