Saint-Philippe man dies of injuries suffered in motorcycle crash last month

A Saint-Philippe man has died following a vehicle-motorcycle collision in the community last month.

Officers responded at around 11:15 a.m., May 28th, to a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Cape Breton Road in Saint-Philippe.

Police say the driver of the motorcycle, a 57-year old Saint-Philippe man, was taken to hospital with what were believed to be life-threatening injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck was not injured.

The RCMP says the driver of the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries in hospital on Wednesday.

The investigation is ongoing.
