An investigation has been launched into the death of a person after human remains were found in a fire at a residence on Nichols Road in Quinte West. An increased police presence is expected in the area during the investigation.

Two local residents arrested as police investigate high volume of copper wire thefts
A 31-year-old and 32-year-old are facing several charges in relation to thefts and mischief to Bell Canada property, specifically copper internet cables. Kingston Police officers found the two individuals in the area of the thefts with tools to commit the crime.
