The RCMP say a 19-year-old man faces four counts of arson and one count of break, enter, and committing an indictable offence relating to a fire on Sunday in Canning which damaged several buildings in the area.

Police say they learned that Noah Norman of Canning was responsible for the blaze, following an appeal to the public.

The RCMP searched his home on Tuesday and made the arrest without incident.

Norman was held in custody until an appearance Wednesday in Kentville Provincial Court.

He has since been released by the courts on strict conditions and is scheduled to return on November 5th.
