Impaired driver arrested after single-vehicle collision in Hants County
A 38-year old woman is facing charges after a single-vehicle collision in Hants County Wednesday.
Officers responded at 5 p.m. to the collision on Highway 1 in Garlands Crossing and found the woman and a child, who was uninjured, near the vehicle.
RCMP say the woman from Garlands Crossing was arrested after she showed signs of impairment and failed a roadside screening test, and the child was placed in the care of a responsible person.
The woman later provided breath samples that were more than four times the legal limit.
Police say she is facing charges of impaired driving and failing to provide necessities by endangering a life, was released from custody, and is due to appear in Windsor Provincial Court in July.
