RCMP

Colchester County District RCMP say an impaired driver was arrested in Bible Hill following a 911 call on Tuesday.

Officers responded around 9:45 p.m. to a call about a vehicle that had struck a snow bank and was seen swerving as it continued on Pictou Road.

Police say they stopped the vehicle, and arrested the driver, a 38-year old Bible Hill woman, after she showed signs of impairment.

Investigators say she provided breath samples at detachment that were more than four times over the legal limit.

The RCMP say she was released and will appear in Truro Provincial Court at a later date to face impaired driving charges.
