Little Harbour man charged after dispute in May

A Little Harbour man is facing charges after a dispute in the community last month involving two boats.

Officers responded around 5 a.m. May 16th and learned a man in one boat had yelled at  someone in another, before following it and almost causing a collision by sailing erratically.

The RCMP say a line from the first boat became tangled in the other's propeller, which caused it to lose power and drift toward a rock ledge, but the jam was cleared and the boat sailed away.

Police say they arrested Colin Scott Mckay on May 19th and he was released on conditions, which he violated by having contact with the person in the other boat.

Mckay is facing charges of dangerous operation and breach of undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on June 30th.
