Man arrested for damaging home under construction in Upper Sackville
A 44-year old man from Hammonds Plains is facing charges of impaired driving and break and enter after home was damaged in Upper Sackville on Monday.
Officers responded at 6:41 p.m. to a report that a truck drove into the garage door of a house under construction on Buttercup Grove and then left.
Police say they located the truck on Millwood Drive in Lower Sackville, and the driver showed signs of impairment during the traffic stop.
Investigators say the man failed the roadside screening test and refused to provide further breath samples when taken to the detachment.
The RCMP say the man was later released and is due to appear in court in January to face charges of impaired driving, refusal to comply with a demand and break and enter.
