New rapid test distribution sites in Northern Zone

Public Health says four health care facilities in the Northern Zone will act as a distribution point for COVID-19 rapid tests.

Officials say residents are still required to complete the online assessment to determine if they are eligible for COVID-19 testing.

Those eligible for rapid tests can make an appointment to pick them up at the Emergency Department entrance of Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche and at the Emergency Department entrance of North Cumberland Memorial Hospital in Pugwash from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week.

Tests will also be distributed by appointment Monday to Friday at the main entrance of All Saints Springhill Hospital from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and at the main entrance of Bayview Memorial Health Centre in Advocate Harbour from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Due to the surge in COVID-19 cases in Nova Scotia, testing is reserved for those with symptoms and/or close contacts of a COVID-19 case.
