NS health launches toll-free line to reduce appointment no shows

Nova Scotia Health is rolling out a new toll-free line to help reduce the amount of no shows for diagnostic imaging appointments.

More than 22,000 scheduled appointments were missed across the province last year, including MRI appointments, CT scans, ultrasounds, and more.

Anyone unable to attend their appointment are asked to call 1-844-I-REBOOK (1-844-473-2665) as soon as possible so that the appointment time can be used by someone else.

Those who call the number will be connected to someone who can cancel their appointment and help arrange a new one.

The awareness campaign and toll-free rescheduling line are part of overall strategies to help increase access to diagnostic imaging services and reduce wait times for these services.
