Six facing charges in Hammonds Plains drug trafficking investigation


Six people are facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation in Hammonds Plains.

Police say officers searched a home on Hammonds Plains Road on Thursday, and seized cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and cash.

Investigators say a 42-year old man from Yarmouth, a 31-year old man from Dartmouth and another from Hammonds Plains, a 54-year old from Hammonds Plains, a 27-year old woman from Bear River and a 21-year old woman from Halifax were arrested at the scene, and later released.

The RCMP say the group is scheduled to appear in court in March to face charges of possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
